12:30 pm Lunch and “Reflections on the Leadership of Ralph Peterson,” Mark Lasswell, Group President, CH2M Hill
Continuing our tradition of honoring great leaders in our industry as they retire or near retirement, we pay posthumous tribute to Ralph Peterson, CEO of CH2M Hill from 1991-2008. Over his 18-year tenure, Ralph led the transformation of the firm from an American engineering company doing $400 million in revenue to an international engineer-constructor with revenues of $6.4 billion. Mark Lasswell, a 20-year veteran of the firm, will reflect on Ralph Peterson as a man and as a leader.
1:45 pm The Decade Ahead: The Future of the Design and Construction Industry
Our industry looks very different today than it did in 2000, and the pace of change is accelerating. What will it look like in 2020? How will the recession affect its direction? Our distinguished panelists will address these questions and explore the impact on our industry of such forces as globalization, information technology, alternative delivery, sustainability, and workforce demographics.
